Empower the Youth and Change the World or a Community: – Today we started the Wielding Classes to empower our youth and changing their mentality and mindsets.
Youth empowerment is a process where children and young people are encouraged to take charge of their lives. They do this by addressing their situation and then take action in order to improve their access to resources and transform their consciousness through their beliefs, values, and attitudes.
Youth Empowerment is very important for Poverty Eradication: Youth empowerment can curb the rate of poverty to a large level. One of the keys to empowering the youth is with skill development. When a youth is equipped with essential skills, he or she can utilize them to feed, assist others, and even invest for future use, aiding the nation economically.
Empowering youth means to:
- Include youth in decision-making processes.
- Honor the youth voice.
- Understand and implement their honest opinions and ideas.
- Be willing to share your adult power and privilege in order to make the community a better place for both young people and adults alike.
Young people have the ideas, the creativity and great energy to shape a better world. Young people are full of hope and through innovation and imagination, they are problem solvers and have a great potential to generate a positive social change in the world.
We call upon the Government to create available and approachable means to support the youths by Skilling and equipping them to become better People of the society, This can be done through religious organizations and institutions of different faiths to monitor such activities and programs at County and District level for the case of Muslims.
We thank One Ummah uganda that donated to us a wielding machine, We appeal to other well-wishers to support this our program as we look at setting this type of Youth Training Centre at all our 10 Muslim counties to create jobs for our future leaders of Tomorrow.
