Appeal Description
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over one billion people are disabled, with 20% of them experiencing significant functional challenges in their daily lives. Twenty million of these people require a wheelchair globally, and in underdeveloped nations, less than 10% of those who require one have access to one.
With your help, Lillah Caring Charity Uganda hopes to give individuals who do not have access to wheelchairs the gift of mobility and independence. Your gift will assist disabled people who rely on others to reclaim their dignity and the flexibility to move around independently in their own wheelchair, expanding them access to a variety of facilities.
